Beatrices official due date is the 21, but we've seen some signs that she may be only a few days away! The X-ray for the official puppy count is tomorrow, so we'll have a good idea of how many we should expect. the Pregnancy has not slowed her down too much though! She's still running after the mail truck, chasing balls, and diving for hot dogs off the grill!
Her appetite has also gone down a little bit the past few days, but that's also something very normal. She gobbles up her prenatal vitamin though like they're candy. We're expecting her to be a good mom! She is very sweet and attentive, but also protective. That combination usually make pretty good mothers (at least until the puppies start teething). Generally the best moms are the fat and lazy ones (like Ana was), but we're not too worried about Beatrice (Lily is probably gunna cause a little ruckus!)
Beatrice is so good and sweet with Forrest, our 19 month old. Even by European Doberman Standards, she is very attentive and protective. Usually we like to let people visit around 1-2 weeks, but depending on how protective she is, we may have to wait until 2-3 weeks for first Doberman Puppy visits. We've been looking forward to this litter for a very long time, so we're so excited that the puppies are almost here! We're enjoying our restful nights now, before we're up all night with the puppies!
